This year's economy-buster early bird entry fee is $15 ($10 for each additional entry) for submissions postmarked or submitted online no later than April 7, 2009. Thereafter the fee is $20 ($15 for each additional entry) with a final postmark date of May 3, 2009 (mailed to "Gina for Missing Persons", POB 627, Anaheim, CA, 92815) or receipt online (at pitchasong@gmail.com). www.411GINA.org.
Singer/Songwriters are encouraged to submit their BEST songs in any category (family-friendly lyrics, please). The top ten finalists will be vying for valuable prizes in a live and internationally webcast performance before a prestigious panel of industry judges. Founder Jannel Rap will host the event on Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 8pm - 10pm at The Guitar Merchant, 7503 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Canoga Park, CA 91303. Divine Grind will offer coffees/teas/snacks.
May is Missing Children's Month. This is why every May GINA and its supporters focus on efforts to illuminate GINA's reason for being: finding as many as possible of the tens of thousands of missing (over 110,000 Americans alone!) friends, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and precious children.
Singer/songwriters get their music exposed, win valuable prizes and make a meaningful donation and gift of love to help the missing and their families to gain the attention they deserve. One missing person featured on each of GINA's recent compilation CD projects has been found! The POWER of Music and the GINA for Missing Persons FOUNDation is clear: in over 250 International events last year on The Squeaky Wheel TourT and to date over 350 missing people profiled by GINA have been found!!
NOTE: Singer/songwriters must perform their own material on both the submitted entry and live in the finals. (Entrants are responsible for their own travel arrangements.) Great songs of broadcast quality production are what the event is after and what the panel of professional judges will be looking for.
